Over 30 years ago I was a supermarket manager. Two key concepts stuck with me from that period of my life. Do you still trust those who profit only from your sickness and not from your health?

I am sorry to have to tell you this but the sad, horrible truth of the matter is that you cannot rely on your doctor to know and recommend what is good for your health. Most of them know next to nothing about nutrition and are fed a constant diet of drug company propaganda.

This is what that doctor’s ex-patient’s writes...

“I’ve now been on it for two weeks and I’ve lost a lot of bloating! I told my doctor about your system and that I wouldn’t be renewing my prescription (and save $500). The next day she called me back and DROPPED me as a patient - after 13 years.

“She said she doesn’t treat Irritable Bowel Disease with diet. I laughed - and will find a new doctor.

A Free Page From My Special Anti-Aging Report

“Now before I go any further I wish to apologise. I have been dead wrong. I have been telling people for a few months now that we are in a war for the last 30 years of our lives. On the one hand the drug companies want us to be taking drugs for an increasing number of incurable diseases and on the other hand we want to be alert, fit and healthy. While that may be true, it is a very limited view. I recently realised I’ve totally understated the magnitude of the problem.

While I have known about and even warned people about other issues, I have phrased what I have been saying around the portion of life that most affects me personally, my next 30 years.

The complete truth is, it’s not just for the last 30 years of our life. It’s not just from birth to death. It’s from conception to the grave.

My simple statement does not encompass the following...

  • the drug companies are now targeting pregnant women with drugs for depression that clinical trials show do no better than sugar pills and increase the suicide risk. (That makes sense. Get the kid hooked on drugs before they are even out of the womb!)
  • the babies for whom they are making vaccinations that are claimed to increase the autism rate.
  • those psychiatric medications for bipolar disorder that are being administered to children as young as 12 months old! If those doctors aren’t sick I don’t know who is!
  • the primary school kids to whom they are marketing speed, sorry, I mean ADHD drugs, for invented conditions that increase the suicide risk 500% and impair learning capability.
  • the fact that they are now wanting to drug “at risk” kids. (At risk from what? Escaping the drug company clutches?)
  • the psychotropics for made up, voted on “disorders”.
  • the adults to whom they market anti-depressants. (That surveys reveal don’t relieve depression any better than a sugar pill.)
  • the fact that they also have a range of psychotropics for made up, voted on “disorders” for adults too.
  • the cholesterol lowering statin drugs they scare people into taking (when 75% of heart attack victims have normal cholesterol levels.)
  • the seniors to whom they market drugs for Alzheimer’s (that again, by test, actually make their memory problems worse.)

The list covers all age groups. From conception to death.

In the last twelve months at least two drug companies have been fined hundreds of millions of dollars for “off-label” marketing of their drugs. Off-label marketing is where the drug company gets Food and Drug Administration approval to market a drug for instance to adults then promotes to doctors its use for children.

Of course it’s nothing to them when they make billions from the sale of these drugs.

And today’s (9th May 2010) revelation was that Eli Lilly have completed the full circle. From Monsanto they bought the rights to sell rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone). This is the stuff that grows cows faster. It also increases the cancer rate in the women who eat the meat and drink the milk. But that’s OK. They then sell drugs to treat the breast cancer they helped create!

When you put all the pieces together it’s a mind blowing scene. And it’s been in the making for decades.

I read an article recently wherein 30 years ago the head of the drug company Merck bemoaned the fact that he could only get sick people to take drugs, he actually wanted to get the whole population taking drugs. In an interview with Fortune magazine he wished his company was “more like Wrigley’s chewing gum” and that Merck could make drugs for healthy people so they could “sell to everyone”. That’s from the book “Selling Sickness” by medical journalist Ray Moynihan.

So there you have it. The drug companies are railroading us down the track of being a druggie from conception to grave.

And if that wasn’t bad enough hear this one. Cholesterol was blamed for being the “bad guy” in heart disease. The drug companiues formulated statin drugs to lower cholestrol. Trouble is, statins have side effects. They also lower the ability of the body to produce Coenzyme Q10 (Co-Q10 for short) which is vital for heart health. Too little Co-Q10 leads to, amongst many other non-optimum conditions, heart failure.

So in 1990 when that very same drug company, Merck, knew that statin drugs depleted Co-Q10 and could contribute to heart disease, they applied for and were granted a patent by the FDA for statin drugs containing Co-Q10. These statin drugs combined with Co-Q10 help prevent heart failure. So they were rushed to market, right? WRONG!

Not only have the drugs not been brought to market, Merck have failed to educate doctors about Co-Q10 and its vital benefits to people on statins. They have sat on the patent which means other companies cannot produce a statin\Co-Q10 formula that will save lives.

So I repeat, I am sorry to have to tell you this but the sad, horrible truth of the matter is that you cannot rely on your doctor to know and recommend what is good for your health. To do the best for your health you need to educate yourself.
